This bill came from a new hourly contract. After first week of this month my bill crossed $500 but upwork Service Fee still being shown $100! As the last billing method the service fee should be $50, right? Can anyone please explain, why?

I checked your account and can see that your earning of $509.83 was charged the blended service fee with the following computation -
Amount:
$500.00 USD x 20% = $100.00 USD
$9.83 USD x 10% = $0.98 USD
Total blended service fee: $100.98 USD
Please be guided the service fee would be 20% on the first $500, and 10% service will be charged for earnings $500.01 and above, which in your case is the $9.83.

The **FIRST** $ 500 - Fee is 20% = $ 100
The remaining $ 9.83 - fee is 10% = $ 0.98
