Can i request partial payment for the pre-funded fixed price milestone?

If i do so, what happens with the remaining money in escrow - it just stays there to be requested later, or released from escrow and refunded to the client?

Suppose the client doesn't touch the request and it is auto-accepted in 2 weeks.

It floats about in Escrow and can't be requested later unless it is assigned to a new milestone,
