Hi All,

I have recently selected by a client for back office work.

Client is requesting a photo copy of my debit card for verification. Is it safe and right way to do so.

Thanks in advance for your replies !!

Thanks,

Iswarya

Hello and Welcome to oDesk,

I don't see any reason in the world that a client would need a copy of your debit card.  I would contact customer service on this as they really need to look into it.  In the meantime don't send it.  I don't want to assume a client is scamming, but it smells fishy to me.

Katrina and Stephen are right. This isn't something we recommend. You shouldn't divulge this type of private, sensitive information.
