Can't create agency, my sister isn't able to register due to IP conflicts, what to do?

Hello everyone,

I hope you guys are having a great weekend. I have a couple of issues that have troubled me for a long time. So here I am, trying to find a solution with your kind help.

1. I have been trying to create an agency account on Upwork, but I can't seem to find the link in my settings page. As per the instructions available on Upwork, I should see an option to start an Agency, but it's not accessible to me. Kindly help.

2. My sister, a post graduate in business administration, has six years of work experience. She has studied big-data analysis and has the on-job experience of the same. She tried to create a profile on Upwork after seeing my success. However, her profile kept getting rejected (I am guessing due to the one account per IP rule?). What can she do to get on Upwork and make her services available?

The last one is a question seeking expert advice.

3. I want to work on a long-term project in categories like VA, Blog Posting, or similar type of work. What categories should I look into and what should be my bid for the hourly contract? I have many skills and abundant knowledge in various fields, but I don't know how to explain it to my clients or find a client willing to utilize it! Any suggestions are welcome.

Hi Tarique,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble locating the option to create an agency. To create an agency, please go to settings and click on App Authorization. Once done, kindly click on the create a company. The option to create an agency will show as well as the option to create a client account. 

For your second question, please send me a PM with more information regarding your sister's account so I can check. 

Lastly, you can check for these categories: writing, admin support, sales and marketing. For your hourly rate, that depends on you and you can negotiate with your client about this as well. Upwork has a minimum hourly rate of $3.00 per hour (including the Upwork Service fee). To get better advise regarding hourly rates based on your skills and experience it is best to ask from fellow freelancers who are also offering the same service.
