Can't end contracts

Hello, everyone!
When I want to finalize a contract, leave each other pleasant and best reviews, Upwork warns me at the top of the page, and writes :

"Are you sure you want to end this contract? You have not received payment and the $0.00 in escrow will be returned to your client. If you're waiting for payment for work done, talk to the client before closing this contract."

This is not so, the money was paid to me and everything is fine, but I am afraid to continue after this message, to end the contract, I am afraid that the money may return to the client, and it turns out that I successfully completed the work for free.

Maybe this is some kind of bug, I do not know what to do. I will be very grateful to you for any answers!!!

Hello!

I have the same problem with finalizing a contract. Milestones are already paid and client left me a feedback, but the warning is still there:

"Are you sure you want to end this contract? You have not received payment and the $0.00 in escrow will be returned to your client. If you're waiting for payment for work done, talk to the client before closing this contract."

What should I do?

Best Regards

Hi Anjela,

I checked and it looks like you have not yet submitted your work for payment. When working under a Fixed Price contract, you submit your work using the 'Submit Work for Payment' button. To so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the My Jobs dashboard
  2. Find the contact you wish to submit a deliverable on
  3. Click Submit Work for Payment

Once you submit your work, your client has 14 days to review and either approve the milestone or ask for changes. If they approve, the funds in escrow will be released to you. If your client takes no action for 14 days, the funds are automatically released to you. You might want to check this help article for more information.

Hi Joanne Marie,

I asked the question for this "Life coaching brand development" contract. I don't have an option "Submit work for payment" since all milestones are already paid, and I still get the warning. I hope I explained it well.

Best Regards
