Can't remove thumbnail from project in portfolio

When creating a project in the Portfolio section, it's impossible to remove a thumbnail. Additional thumbnails can be added, but existing ones cannot be removed. Even deleting the project and re-creating it does not remove the thumbnail. See screen shot.

I am sorry to learn that you are having issues deleting the thumbnail on your portfolio. Could you please let us know if you tried using a different browser or incognito mode? You may open a different browser and try again. If using a different browser and/or incognito/private mode did not work, clearing your cookies should help to fix the issue you’re experiencing. You can try clearing Upwork-only cookies by clicking this page or clearing your full browser cookies/cache and restarting your browser once more.

I am having exactly the same problem. I just created my profile. I am adding my portfolio but can't remove the thumbnail that I want changed. There is no option to remove and then add another one.
