Did you mean:

Can we please have a proper search engine?

On every other freelancing website the search process works like this:

- Select job category

- Select subcategories

- Choose hourly/fixed price

- Set up budget limits

- Choose other parameters (verified payment etc)

- Click "search"

Meanwhile on Upwork it goes like this:

- Select job category

- Wait while search runs automatically

- Select subcategories

- Wait while search runs automatically

- Choose hourly/fixed price

- Wait while search runs automatically

- Set up budget limits

- Wait while search runs automatically

- Choose other parameters (verified payment etc)

- Wait while search runs automatically

It's rubbish. Can we have a proper one please?

Wait while search runs automatically? For less than a second??

Come on there are many problems with the search engines here but this is not one of them

He means that the search is performed each time you change the filter where on most sites you make your selection and then search. Slows down the process.

I dont think is a real problem the upate finsih befor you move the mouse to the next section

Does it? I just timed it. Six seconds per update.

User experience is actually pretty important.

"there are many problems with the search engines here"

Yes. Easily enough to justify scrapping it and getting a decent one. It's not like a search engine is hard, after all. Every other freelance website has a better one than Upwork does.

Maybe for Christmas? I mean, if we're really, really good?

Maybe for xmas. We already got plenty of green too.

Ugh! Now I have Christmas jingles going through my head!

OK, I'll try and change the jingle for you:

I'll sing you one, oh . . .

The simple answer is "No".

But since you said "please" the answser is "Thank you for your feedback, while that is not a feature that we are currently considering we value your input and thank you for taking the time to let us know what you think"
