Can we talk or communicate with clients outside the Upwork platform after the award of contract?

I think there is no offense to TOS if we do it on Whatsapp for sending large files and for easy communication. Sometime, client travels outside to site or contract-related work. So, Whatsapp is the best line for communication for reaching some questions about work. Thanks.
