Hi,
Does anyone know whether you can be paid in Sterling? I am based in the UK and my client is also in the UK. If we are paid in Dollars we both stand to lose out as the conversion is so bad at the moment.
Many thanks
Lucy

Sadly you have to handle Upworks abysmal exchange rates - unless, i withdraw to Paypal now, the exchange rate is better, no fees (only Upworks withdrawal fee!!) and its instant.
I know its not what you wanted, but its better than getting Upwork to exchange it and then take an eternity to get it to your account.

I stopped withdrawing to local bank accounts years ago.
I withdraw to PayPal and Payoneer - I keep a Dollar balance on both to withdraw or pay for things when the exchange rate is good.
The weakness of the Pound is a GOOD thing when you're paid in Dollars. You get more Quid for your Dollars than at just about any time in the past 50 years, except for a brief blip in 1985
