Cannot Join Company Team

I created an Upwork acccount to assist the company I work for to communicate with all the freelancers they work with. I have been sent invites to join the team but clicking Join only brings me to the Upwork homepage. Please someone assist! We work together in an office and it's frustrating not finding a solution to add my account to their team and not being able to directly email support.
