Should it not have read recepit for message sent? It doesn't give idea if client/freelancer is ignoring messages or not getting at all.

This has been raised dozens of times and the vast percentage of users always said that it would be horrible idea.

I get back to another use when I have time, which is not necessarily when I saw the message.

The last thing anyone wants is the other party freaking out because they notice that a message was seen but not (yet) responded to.
