Choose between Fixed price or Hourly job

What's your pefrence and how do you decide which one should choose.

I only take hourly jobs and use the tracker as it was meant to be used.  In 12+ years, I have never not gotten paid.

How does tracker help when we are doing the thought process... as there'll be very little activity on the computure but in real we doing the though process about the work that needs to be done.

I prefer flat rate because it gives the client more assurance as to the cost of the project up-front.

Yeah, but sometimes clients have re-work and they usually don't want to spend extra money for the re-work.

Fixed price! 

I work on both terms. But the fixed price seems better!
