Clarification on Contract Suspension, Closure, and Feedback on Upwork

Hey Upwork Community,

I recently encountered a question that may resonate with others: If a contract is suspended, can it still be closed? And will a client still be eligible to leave feedback that impacts my Job Success Score (JSS)?

I found out that when a contract is suspended, it can still be closed. If it’s closed with earnings, the client will typically have the opportunity to leave feedback, which does impact your JSS. However, if a suspended contract is closed without any payment, it generally won’t affect your JSS directly, but a high number of these can still impact your profile’s standing.

Does anyone else have insights or experiences with this?

Thanks in advance!

1 Yes

2 Yes, if client not suspended\banned.

Feddbacks allowed for any contracts, $0 as well (private feedback). It will affect JSS.
