Clarification

Hi!
I have just completed a job with a client on an hourly contract. Sadly, she has no idea how to close the contract and approve the funds she kept in the escrow. She has contacted support and she had no satisfactory response.

I have some questions;

Will the funds be released to me if I close the contract myself?

Will my client be able to leave reviews on my profile if I end the contract?

Is there some official way she could be shown how to close the contract and approve the funds?

If the contract is hourly, your time was logged (either manually or via the app), and you did not exceed the weekly limit of hours set by the client then you will be paid automatically even if the client does nothing.

The client would have to specifically dispute your timesheet to stop your being paid.

If you close the contract, the client will have 14 days to leave feedback. However, it is better to let the client close the contract - they will see an immediate and convenient prompt to leave feedback, increasing the chance of its submission.

As for how your client might close the contract, the following support article might help.

The workflow is the same for a fixed-price contract.
