If the contract is hourly, your time was logged (either manually or via the app), and you did not exceed the weekly limit of hours set by the client then you will be paid automatically even if the client does nothing.
The client would have to specifically dispute your timesheet to stop your being paid.
If you close the contract, the client will have 14 days to leave feedback. However, it is better to let the client close the contract - they will see an immediate and convenient prompt to leave feedback, increasing the chance of its submission.
