Clearer distinction between agency and direct contracts

I really think the distinction between agency and direct contracts should be more obvious. 95% of the time I have a contract directly with my client. Twice now I've had an agency contract and because I wasn't looking out for it was completely oblivious to the fact until I realised I hadn't been paid. I know with an agency contract there's no pay underneath, and it says staffed by near the resource. These distinctions are quite subtle. I don't notice them if I'm not looking for them. Something obvious at the top saying direct/agency would be a big improvement.

Uhm, you mean like you apply for the job and then person is telling you about her/his client? That happened to me today. I don't like to work for someone in between. There's usually a lot of mess in communication. I don't understand why people are complicating their lives in such way. Oh wait, money.
