Hello everyone,
It's made clear that keeping contact with potential clients inside Upwork is a must. However; does this apply to the current client? For example, the interview is through Upwork, the contract is on Upwork and the work and payment are to be delivered through Upwork but the client thinks it's easier to chat on another social platform that they'd normally use.
Is this against the rules too or it only applies to pre-contract interviews and negotiations?
Thanks!

You can communicate with clients any way you like, even before you have a contract.
you just have to be hired and paid on Upwork

Thank you Petra,
Yes that seems right. I always think it's more profitable to be hired and paid on Upwork because on the long run more contracts and money earned on my profile means getting hired and earning more.

Hi Mostafa,
I'll double-confirm users are allowed to communicate off-Upwork, although we do strongly advise using Messages for security reasons.
