Hello
i was working on a project and on the 2nd week I completed the project but the clients payment was put on hold and in the end I completed work without pay. 😲
Upwork asked me to contact the client directly and the client said he was a fraud victim and cannot pay.
how can I avoid this in future engagements?

Hi Ardha Tan,
Thanks for reaching out! I'd be happy to assist you with your concerns. I want to confirm if you are having trouble getting paid or if the client is no longer responding to your messages. Could you please share the contract ID of the job you're referring to?

Hi Ardha,
Thank you for sharing additional details. I checked the job post you were referring to and it appears that it's already been taken down because it was in violation of Upwork TOS.
Please check out this course for more tips on staying safe on Upwork and please use the flag option found on each job post or message anytime you’d like to report a violation.
