Client Refund

I have just ended a contract with a client. Prior to the end of the contract, there was a proposed milestone of $50. Since I could not meet up to his requirements, he ended the contract and paid only $25 from the $50.
Now, the client has requested a refund of $25 which he claims is the other half of the money in escrow, and not the $25 he has released to me.
Please am I to approve of this refund? I’m pretty confused and scared because I wouldn’t want anything that would harm my JSS profile. Please advise me.

Hi Immaculata,

If there are remaining funds in Escrow and the client has ended the contract, it will automatically send you a request for a refund. If you approve the refund or does not respond within seven days, the money in escrow will be refunded. Please know that issuing a refund for the remaining funds in Escrow doesn't affect your JSS.
