Good Day Everyone!
I just want to ask one thing that I have three hourly contracts still opened. I have already delivered my work to these clients. At that time clients reply me they will be back after verifying my work and till now three to four months ago having no conversation with them. I message a lot but no response.
It’s really important for me to know here on such a professional platform that if a client is unresponsive for three to four months then how we will keep him remind that here our contract is open and need to close.
How we will keep in touch via email or message or call or any third way?
I know that if contract is open and client is unresponsive then it will effect on Job Success rate.
Kindly discuss and guide me about this thing in detail.
Thanks

Zohaib:
It IS a good goal to have clients close the contract themselves, thus ensuring that you get feedback from them.
There are successful strategies that I use to make this happen.
The main thing is that I simply ask the client to close the contract.
This can be done while I'm still in regular communication with them.
When I have an hourly contract, I just keep working on it while there tasks left to do that the client has asked for.
When I run out of tasks, I point out to the client that if they have nothing else for me, then they can close the contract.

Hi Zohaib,
Sorry to hear about your bad client experience. Have you tried contacting Upwork support to help resolve the issue? Such clients should not be allowed to waste anyone's time and efforts.
All the best,
Zac

No, you do not need to contact Customer Support.
Do not "message a lot."
There is never a reason to send the same message twice.
Clients are not obligated to reply to freelancers.
You did the work you were asked to do.
You submitted the work.
You were paid for the work.
This is done.
Close these dormant contracts yourself.
This isn't going to hurt your JSS. That idea is old news. JSS has been updated so you don't need to worry about that.

Thanks for your guideline.
Please tell me that where I will find all this information regarding unresponsive client hourly contract is not affected on JSS if I close contract myself.
Kindly provide me link.
Thanks

(Deleted - I mistakenly thought the OP was complaining about not getting paid, not about his clients simply not responding.)

Sir Preston,
when i submitted my work to all clients they just say me that we will verifying your work and will come back to tell you about your work and provide you further assignment.
Even they stop timer here.
yes i agree with you & understand what you said.
I always ask clients to close the contract if work is done with feedback.
In my case How I will ask the client to close the contract even i am not in a regular communication with them?
Please tell me what you say about that i have to wait more days. May be this time they will be back on Conversation.
Kindly provide me your suggestions.
Thanks Once Again

There is no reason to continue to harass your client. Leave the contract open or close it yourself and go on with your life.

Ms.Tiffany...you are right.
But I am not harrassing my clients just want to get feedback from them against my services/
I really like this point that i have to go on with my life i will do.
But i have little fear in my mind that if i close the contract then it will effect on my JSS.
Thanks for such a nice reply its very positive and helpful.
