Client asked for changes after Upwork approved the milestone

Is that the $ 375 contract? For 40.000 words? Seriously? And of course $$$ Expert level...

In general I stand by my work, so if I made mistakes I will fix them, whether a milestone’s been approved or not.

This is just one of the many reasons why I avoid bottom-of-the-barrel clients like the plague. Not only is it not worth my while working at rates that are next to nothing, clients in that sector of the market are also a pain in the proverbial to deal with.

Whatever happens, the client can leave feedback, so bear that in mind.

Ana,
Upwork doesn't "approve" anything in your contract with clients. Upwork facilitates an easy way to conduct business financial transactions between clients and freelancers based on an established time frame spelled out in Upworks terms of service. Upwork releases funds from escrow in a set amount of time if you submit your work to the client through Upwork's established procedure. A client can still consider the contract incomplete and request revisions if they are not satisfied, but that is between you and the client. You can do the revisions for free and reduce the chance of poor feedback or you can request an additional paid milestone to make additional changes.

Thank you for the reply, Richard.

I'm aware of all that, I use the term "approved" because it's used by Upwork as well. I was not implying anything else.

My question was if the client is allowed to ask for changes after the 14 days period. I think I got my answer. Thanks.

Hi Ana,

It's up to you to communicate with your client and consider the changes they requested, and how they would be structured. This won't affect the payment that was already released to you.

You're correct. Upwork will "approve" the milestone after 14 days of no response from the client when you've submitted the work via the fixed rate contract submission screen.
