Client cannot make payment since card not supported

Hi, I have brought one of my clients to upwork.

He has posted the job, invited me, which I have also accepted.

But now the problem is that my client does not have a Visa or MasterCard.

He has a Rupay card since he is from India.

Rupay, unfortunately, isn't supported by upwork. He doesn't have a PayPal either.

So what can we do in this case?

Kindly let me know.

Regards.

Then he can either hire you using a proper credit card (not some prepaid) or not hire you on Upwork.

Why would you bring your client to Upwork?  Do you like extra fees taken out of your payment?

No, obviously not.

But I wanted to start getting some reviews and projects on my profile.

Seeing the competition on upwork, I understand that its gonna be a while till regular clients start hiring me.

So I decided to bring my local clients to upwork.

There are a total of 3 clients who have agreed to work with me via this platform.

And yes, its a big hit in terms of fee deduction, but I am thinking of the future. A little bit amount deducted is no problem compared to the quality of projects available at upwork.

Hopefully they are "real" clients with "real" projects.

The last chap who had 3 of his pals "hire" him for cheap projects was removed from the site for it.

Upwork has no tolerance for feedback and metrics manipulation.
