It's my first time having a client so I didn't know the rules of how this thing works out. He messaged me the full instructions on what I should be doing but didn't set up a contract. However, since he's verified and has worked with lots of freelancers before, I trusted him and was able to finish the task in three days. I was supposed to receive a fixed-price of $10 for the task I've done, but now he's being unresponsive and I don't know how will I be able to get my payment. Please help me with this.

Don't start work until there is a contract with a funded milestone in place. Period. I don't care if the client seems like a nice person, seems honest, whatever. If there isn't a contract, there isn't a job. It's really that simple.
