Client disappeared should I close the contract?

A client hired me in November, I delivered the work after some hours and never heard from the client again. Had to submit work again in the contract page after a month or more in order to get the milestone released because the client would not answer my messages.

Questions:

Should I close the contract? Will this affect my JSS?

Having a contract open with no activity is bad for my JSS?

Thanks

Provided you were paid, your JSS will not be affected. There is no need to close the contract. Having an open contract will not hurt your JSS.

You probably know this already, but  if you have a fixed-price contract, when you submit the work officially and press the release funds button, you don't need to do anything more (unless the client disputes). A client has 14 days to review your work. If the 14 days are up without your hearing back from the client, then Upwork will automatically release the money into your account. However,  if you resubmit during the review period, you will start the whole process again.

 1) close it or leave it open. It makes no difference provided money was paid and you don't have a huge number of such contracts. (You don't.)

2) No. It makes no difference provided money was paid and you don't have a huge number of such contracts. (You don't.)
