Client doesn't respond

Hi

I've finished a job and the client was happy with the result, it's the first time he's been using upwork, and he didn't know he needed to approve the milestone, so in his last message he told me:

"Great. Thanks man I’ll keep in touch for further ideas.
U should have been paid already im sure as money was already taken from my account."

And then I told him that he should approve the milestone for me to get paid, but he is probably travelling and doesn't respond me anymore, is there any way to get paid? I've already submited the work and sent many messages to him but he just dissaperead.

ACCEPTED SOLUTION

I just told you how.

You click a green button. That's all.

Clients are not required to respond.

As freelancers, we get paid regardless of whether or not clients respond.

Be sure to click the "Submit Work / Release Payment" button.

Once.

Just click it once.

Don't send any messages to the client. Don't do anything else.

ALL money in escrow will be released to you automatically in 14 days.

Thanks, 14 days is a lot of time though...

If you already clicked the button... then DO NOTHING ELSE.

Just wait.

And the money will show up in your account AUTOMATICALLY.

Hi Dante,

It would be best to use the milestone-submission syste/request for payment button on your fixed-price contract page to make sure that you are Payment Protected on Upwork. You may read this help article for more information.
