Client ended the contract without activating and paying the second milestone.

There were 2 milestones
1.Start - $10
2. Finish - $40
I completed the job successfully, there was just a small change and the client cancelled the contract without even waiting for my reply. Paying me only the first milestone.

Was the second milestone funded? Have you discussed it with the client?

Then it was unwise to submit 100% of the work when only 50% were funded.

Unless the client agrees to pay you, there is nothing you can do.
