Client has problem hiring me because the proposal has expired

I sent a proposal for a job at the beginning of April but the client has only just replied and wants to go ahead.

He says he can't make a payment because my proposal has expired.

I have seen a few jobs on Upwork which say 'For freelancer John Doe, XYZ job'.

Is that what I should advise the client - close the old job and start a new one and invite me to do it?

Thanks in advance.

Martin

The client can simply go to your profile and hit the great big hire button on the right.

Hi Martin,

Please ask your client to first unarchive your proposal and then use the hire freelancer link to send you an offer. Alternatively, they can use the method Petra shared and hire you directly from your profile. Please let me know if they need more help with sending the offer.

Thanks guys Man Happy

I keep meaning to hire somebody on Upwork myself for a small job just to see the process a client goes through.

That's just moved up my to-do list!
