Client is asking me to blatantly violate Upwork Terms of Use

I was interviewed by a client for a data entry project and from the course of the conversation, I was asked to purchase software, provide my personal information as well as given a contract and an i-9 form. I was also informed that they would be using their own remote access monitoring software as well as paying me via direct deposit.

I flagged the original job, but I was wondering if there was something else I needed to do to report this?

There is no job, the whole point was to get you to "purchase software"

There is no software either, they just wanted your money. (Generally by sending you a fake check to purchase non existing software from a non existing vendor)

No

Nothing else.

You did a good thing by flagging the job.
