Client is not responding and hasn't approved project submission

Hi,

I completed my first order and was in communication with the client. He liked my work and approved it verbally over zoom call.
But, soon after that, the client stops responding. I dropped several messages and ultimately submitted the project. But the client is not responding and has not approved my submission. Can anyone guide what should I do?

As a freelancer, I get paid AUTOMATICALLY regardless of whether or not a client responds or approves a submission.

This is about a FREELANCER using Upwork incorrectly. The client isn't doing anything wrong.

You don't need to do anything.

After you click the "Submit work for payment" button, you should DO NOTHING.

That's what I do.
I do nothing.

I don't even send the client a single message.

I just wait, and then I get paid automatically after 14 days.

Hi, Thanks for the guidance.

I sent the payment request on the 19th of September, 14 days are completed as of now but payment has not been released, I didn't send any message to the client after the submission of the project. 

I'm so puzzled.

Do you see your payment in Reports page?

If it's in one of the tabs there, you can hover your mouse over question mark on that particular tab and see explanation of it along with number of days needed for payment release.

As Preston wrote - wait a bit more.

After you click the "Submit work for payment" button, you should just wait and you should never send the client a single message.

then wait, after 14 days you will get paid  automatically.

As the client just disapeared, much probably you will not receive a review feedback, even if you did an amazing job and the client was very happy.  Other users will say the lack of reviews and stars is completely your fault, but isn´t.
