A client left a horrible 2 star rating on my profile. It was so unfair given the circumstances of the job and the fact that she ended the contract without even saying anything first. I've never had such a low rating on my profile before, especially since I'm trying to bring up my job success score to what it used to be. Plus now I feel stupid because I left really good feedback on her profile because I always try my best to see the good in everybody and I always try to be a good person. It's so unfair. Can't I have it removed or something?

Hi Danielle,
Sorry to hear this. Please check this helpful article about responding or disputing a feedback from a client. In addition, feedback removal may be available to Top Rated freelancers. Hope this helps.

Danielle, that's rough but the previous virtual assistant this client hired received a 2.55 star rating (and the freelancer is top rated by the way), so next time you send a proposal, you might want to check the client's recent history first. In the meantime, only jobs in the last 2 years count toward Job Success, so make sure you get great feedback on the 2 jobs you have in progress right now, and good luck.

The fact that so many of your clients haven't left ratings is hurting you. And of course, that last client looks like she just can't be pleased. To get your JSS back in shape you will need to be very selective about the jobs to which you apply. Check out every client's feedback history before sending a proposal. If they don't leave feedback for their freelancers, you may get paid but it isn't going to help your JSS. Sorry.

I had the same situation. I don't know how to hide or remove it

If feedback could be hidden, giving feedback would be meaningless.
When you are top-rated, you can remove the occasional feedback, so you need to wait for that.
I don't think you did yourself any favors by responding, why did you give the client a discount if you didn't feel it was your fault? That makes no sense.

Hi Anastasiia,
Thank you for reaching out to us. I would like to clarify that only Top Rated and Top Rated Plus talent is eligible for Feedback Removal. As a Top Rated or Top Rated Plus freelancer, your hard work has earned you the benefit of more control over your Job Success Score. This means that you can occasionally request the removal of client feedback.
You can find more information in this help article.

According to your profile, you are top-rated. Therefore, you can remove feedback.

Don't give a refund if you did the work! A crap rating is for freelancers who lie about their skills or don't do the job. Just take it as a lesson learned and put it behind you. Check out the clients and their previous job reviews and ratings. With your profile, it won't take too long before you overcome the rating. Hang in there and stick to your principles - if you do the work, you deserve to be paid. Don't let a nasty client intimidate you.
