I recently got interviewed and did a test job for which I was paid. The client is ready to move on to the main job which is a substantial project but needs Upwork to send W9 and also provide some tax-related information.
This has been an issue and is still unresolved. I did some checking on my own and realized that many clients have made these requests before. I found this thread:

However, I don’t see a permanent solution anywhere.
Could someone please provide some insight into this? Is there another way around the W9 issue that works for everyone?
