Client offered possible fulltime position

A client contacted me and said that he might have a fulltime position for me. Before I respond, I want to get some feedback whether this is ok or if this would violate any Upwork rules and guidelines. Could someone please let me know what the correct response to the client would/should be? I don't want to jeopardize my Upwork account over this.
