Oh, dear. I see that Goran has popped in and pointedly ignored the comments above, preferring to answer another question that is more recent. I can only assume he was offended at being quoted as contradicting what Valeria said. It wasn't intended as a personal slight, Goran.

A client I've had for a year on Upwork has recommended me to a friend not on Upwork. 

If I do work for that friend and we don't bring it onto Upwork, is that outside of the reach of the circumvention agreement? 

It doesn't seem like it would be, but I just want to make sure.
