Good evening to all
I am currently working with a client as a Copywriter, this client asked me to write an article about a casino following the guidelines written in Surfer SEO, well up to this point everything is ok.
I finished writing the article and sent him the article as I always do, in a Microsoft Work document (docx) using the Upwork platform (Submit the Work). This client refuses to download the document claiming that he wants to see it outside, on Surfeo SEO, a website external to Upwork.
Surfer SEO is a web tool that gives you a seo score on articles. I didn't refuse to use it, I did and attached a photo next to the work with the article score.
I understand that what my client is asking for is against Upwork's rules and services, I have no protection if I publish my work on a website external to Upwork. To be clear, nowhere in the contract did the client ask me to deliver the article on surfeo seo and I understand that publishing my work outside of upwork is against the terms and services of the platform.
Solved! Go to Solution.

re: "Client requires me to submit my work on a website outside of Upwork"
That's fine.
That is normal.
Upwork is NOT WHERE WE DO OUR WORK.
Upwork is where we find jobs, get hired and paid.
I rarely ever submit any work "through Upwork" if by that you mean actually sending files to clients.

???
There's no such rule.

Cristian:
I am sorry that you had this instance of confusion in your recent experience with this contract.
I am sorry to hear that you thought this was against any Upwork rules.
I recommend that you apologize to the client for your confusion and do what he asks.

I will do that Preston, I will apologise to my client, it was my fault for misunderstanding Upwork's terms and services.
Thank you very much, you have solved my problem

You need to edit your post and remove the link. You can't link to a client's work in a public forum! Anyone could just edit or delete or mess up your work or change the text or god knows what

I have just removed the link, when I wrote the link here there was no text that compromised the client's work.
Thanks for the advice
