Client wants to cancel project.

Hello guys, I need your kind opinion on something.

A couple days ago one client hired me to do a landing page (he saw my project after research and decided to buy this service), we didn't talk initially, he just saw this project where he could start the project straight away and this way I'd have four days to deliver the result.

I just found out that's a horrible way to close gigs - you don't know the client, he doesn't know you, he barely communicates what he needs.

Turns out he didn't like the outcome and said me he already built the landing page himself and asked me to cancel the project and refund.


However, doing this would horribly damage my JSS in which I worked absolutely hard to reach 100% and top rated.

I feel like I am in a very bad place.

What would you guys do based in your experience?

I don’t think you should worry about feedback. If it lowers your JSS significantly, you can use Top Rated feedback removal perk to remove it.

Client wants cancel job after complete the requested task, I shared some images and renovation plans and suddenly he wants to cancel and don't pay me.

Hi everyone.
After share images and plans of a requested task of a client, he is asking to cancel the contract and I give him a refund. I need assistance here, because I complete the job in 80% and he is not willing to recognize me any percentage of the money in scrow, it's a time I invested and I just don't know what to do. Currently the contract is active, but I'm afraid that I had lost my time and effort. Thanks!

cancelling and refunding does not affect the JSS unless the client left poor feedback while doing so.

 

If the client left poor feedback, use your top rated perk to eliminate the impact.

Turns out the client confirmed the milestone and requested 80% of the amount.

I am gonna hope he didn't left me a horrible private feedback.

Still, you know how much time I have to remove this feedback if it lowers my JSS?

You can use the perk any time you like, provided you haven't used it in the last 3 months and 10 contracts.
