Clients not Responding over the proposals?

Hi Fellow Freelancers,

I have 12+ years of working experience as a graphic designer under various design agencies and have had the privilege of working with global clients hailing in varied industries.

I started smooth over up work and I causally get 2 to 3 engagements per day and 3 to 4 invites from the clients to place a proposal for their job in a month, but the past three months have been quite dry and was wondering why is this happening. Is the platform is becoming useless day by day ( You would be surprised that in the past three months I have submitted around 180-200 proposals with only 3 engagements that were closed over).

I would like to hear from you guys what is actually going on, Is there any lacking from my side or the same thing is happening with you guys also.
