Closing the contract - the client does not respond

Hi,

After several hours worked for the client and a successful job, the hourly contract is still open and the client no longer responds.
1. Can a long open contract without a job negatively affect my rating?
2. If I close the contract, can it have a negative impact on my rating?

From my understanding is that once payment passed from client to freelancer, closing a job contract does not lower JSS.
