Hello all,
This is to satisfy my curiosity - are there separate forums for freelancers and clients or are we all combined into one big pot? 🙂 Can we see client posts and can they see ours?
I'd like to know if there is co-mingling because that makes a difference in the types of concerns and questions a freelancer would feel comfortable posting here.
Thank you in advance and hope you're all having a wonderful day,
Cari

Yes, we are all in "one pot," though there are separate topic forums for clients and freelancers. Everyone on the Community can read everyone else's posts.
The Community Guidelines forbid posting specifics on clients or freelancers, or quoting job posts or correspondance. (See https://community.upwork.com/t5/Community-Basics/Upwork-Community-Guidelines/m-p/450419#M1260)
I find it helpful to read about issues happening on the client end, because then I can help my clients navigate if they experience something similar. I've also seen clients who are glad to read about freelancer issues so they can understand both sides of the equation.

Thank you, Jess.
That is sort of what I thought. I wondered because as I peruse the community postings, I'm rather surprised at some of the choices fellow members make when they post here. There are things one may feel comfortable sharing in the "office" only around one's trusted colleagues over lunch, but would never say in front of "the boss." One never knows who is reading what. 🙂
Best regards,
Cari
