Communicating with Freelancers in your network

I understand that it is against Upwork TOS to communicate with a client outside the platform unless a contract exists. I want to know if the same rule applies to communicating with a fellow freelancer in our network. They are not buyers but they might like to discuss the possibility of collaborating professionally.

So are we allowed to contact a fellow freelancer outside Upwork?

Hi Salima Mushtaq,

When you connect with a freelancer via Upwork, communications must still take place on Upwork. You will be able to communicate with freelancers who have accepted your request to connect using Upwork Messages and use the integrated Zoom feature.
