Confused about ads that are posted

I think I've posted this in the right group. If not , I apologize. 

I'm a bit confused. When I look at job ads, I always click on the ad and read everything, but one thing that never shows, is who the company/person is. That's a huge problem for me, especially if I have questions concerning the ad before putting in a proposal; and that poses another problem. There's no way to contact people who post the ads. Or is there? Am I just not seeing it in the ads I click on?

There is not, You can ask your questions in your proposal.

That information remains hidden at least until you get a reply to a proposal.

Otherwise, freelancers could easily circumvent the system and apply to the client directly. And you can't contact the client unless they reply to your proposal. Otherwise, they would likely be bombarded with messages from freelancers.
