Confusion regarding upwork policy

Hey! Hope you're well.

Just wanted to ask if it is allowed to:

Deliver work to a client outside of Upwork (e.g email) while all payments are made through upwork? If a client wants me to deliver work outside of upwork while he pays me through a contract on upwork and not any external methods, is this acceptable? Asking because I don't want to get in any trouble for the future!

Yes. You understand correctly.

I dont know how it goes for deliverables that cant be attached but the thing is, if any dispute arises and your client claims that you did not do the work - it might be abit more difficult to prove your case if all the deliveries were off Upwork.

I personally use the cloud alot but i also attach the submissions in upwork.

I've been working with the client for a long time now and he's extremely trusted so I doubt I'll ever have a dispute regarding work with them. I'm more concerned as to how Upwork perceives this?

They don't care.

Using the belt and suspenders approach, I deliver my work via email and/or dropbox as well as through Upwork.
