Connect issue

I have applied mistakenly and withdraw the proposal but I didn’t get the connect back.

When you withdraw a proposal on Upwork, the connects used for that particular job proposal are typically not returned to you. Connects are the currency on Upwork that you use to submit proposals for jobs. According to Upwork's policy, once you use connects to submit a proposal, they are spent, even if you withdraw your proposal later.

However, there are a couple of scenarios in which Upwork might return your connects:

  1. Job Cancelation: If the client cancels the job without hiring anyone, Upwork usually returns the connects to all freelancers who submitted proposals.

  2. Job Expiration: If the job posting expires without any hires, Upwork typically refunds the connects back to the proposers.

If you believe there was an issue outside of normal operations, you may contact Upwork's customer support to explain your situation. Although there's no guarantee, they can consider individual cases. Note, however, that this doesn't generally change the outcome.

For future reference, always double-check before using your connects to submit a proposal to ensure you’re applying to the right jobs that match your skills and interests.
