Connect problem

I have created my acount 3 days ago and I haven´t recived any connect. Can someone explain me why? in https://www.upwork.com/resources/how-to-get-free-connects  the web page say that you can get free connects to sign in.

Welcome to connect hell, don't worry, you'll run out of them soon enough even if you did have them, then you'll have to pay money to get more...

Oh and you can now BOOST your proposal for ~100 connets... WTF really...
