Connect refund because of misleading job description?

I spent 6 connects applying for a job called "**Edited for Community Guidelines**" under editing and proofreading, and with the description: "Looking for expert level Editing & Proofreading specialist.".

I was contacted by the client who asked me to write a PhD thesis.  Not only is this in breach of my academic code of ethics, but it was clearly not what was stated in the job description.

Can I get these 6 connects back?

Thanks,
Caroline

Hi Caroline,

Just to clarify, we return Connects when a client closes their job without hiring or we find a job post has violated our Terms of Service. Our team will investigate the client further and if any violations are found, proper actions will be taken. Thank you.

There's a link near the top right of the job post where you can report the job. For things like that, I use "Other" and write "academic fraud" with some more details in the text box. It should get cancelled (and your connects returned) soon after that.

Thanks Wes, I'll give that a go 🙂
