I submitted two proposals, but just as I clicked 'submit proposal,' I found myself outside of the top four bidding positions. However, I still haven't received my boosted connects back.

No need to set it. Account used first always. Then another method you set if money not enough.

I have applied for many jobs that are now 1 month old but still listed in the submitted proposals.

When do these posts expire?

And, why don't we get our connects back if a nonserious person posts a job but doesn't hire anyone?

Hello Sajid,

Thank you for reaching out. By default, job posts on the platform are open for 30 days. If no freelancer is selected within 30 days or there is no activity, the job will expire. I want to clarify that we return Connects when a client closes their job without hiring or we find a job post has violated our Terms of Service. I recently moved to Portugal, and I started working on upwork couple of months after moving.

I submitted a proposals for over 80 connects, then my account gets restricted due to location verification. after 2 days later of verifying the account and getting it back live, I get surprised that all the proposals I sent were automatically withdrawn and no refund on connects.... I mean thats a total rip off!

I'm sorry to hear about your frustration with your withdrawn proposals due to your account status. Unfortunately, used Connects are not returned when proposals are withdrawn due to accounts getting suspended for non-compliance to our verification requests in a timely manner. Please know that I've taken note of your concern as feedback; likewise, we will continue providing updates to the Community about the team's initiatives.

I can't understand how much cost a connect? 

In this page it says the price is $0.15

But in the plans page, it says $1 per connect (WAY TO MUCHHHH)

So what is going on, what is the right price?

That’s the old plus plan, which will go away on June 25. Until then, if you’re a plus member and used all your connects, you can still buy them for $1 each.

Once you have moved to paid connects, connects will cost $0.15 each. Please note that when you have moved to paid connects, you will be able to purchase connects in bundles:

• 10 for $1.50
• 20 for $3
• 40 for $6
• 60 for $9
• 80 for $12

We are gradually moving freelancers to paid Connects. You will receive an email reminder before this takes place. You’ll also see a pop-up notification in your Upwork account once your account is moved to paid Connects. Thank you.

I understand your frustration with this but unfortunately we can't expedite this.  Once you`re moved to our new plan the price for the Plus plan will be changed to $14.99 and you will also see a notification on your home page about it. Thank you.

You can buy Connects by going to Settings > Membership & Connects. Additionally, to answer your other question above, you can't use any sort of Cryptocurrencies to buy them. You can go to this article to learn more about the billing methods you can use.

Hello Avery, my name is Farzona. I registered on Upwork in August of this year, but I haven't submitted any proposals yet. Yesterday, I received an invitation for an interview, but I couldn't accept it because I didn't have any connects. I didn't receive my 100 connects during registration. What could this be related to? Did the rules change? I couldn't find this information anywhere.

Hi Farzona,

Upwork currently requires new freelancers to do one of two things before being able to submit a proposal for a job: subscribe to our Freelancer Plus membership plan for $19.99 USD a month, or purchase 100 Connects for $15 USD. After you fulfill this requirement you will also receive 50 free Connects to further help you get started on Upwork.

About submitting a proposal to an invite, beginning June 6, 2024, when clients invite you to apply to a job, you’ll need to use Connects to submit a proposal for consideration. Upwork is making this change to help ensure that clients spend their time reviewing proposals from those freelancers most eager to work with them. This change means that no matter how or where freelancers have discovered a job, Connects will be needed to apply. You can find this information on this thread.
