Connects

I submitted two proposals, but just as I clicked 'submit proposal,' I found myself outside of the top four bidding positions. However, I still haven't received my boosted connects back.

Hi all,

 

As a freelancer or agency, you'll use Connects to Submit Proposals and let clients know you're interested in their project. You receive ten free Connects every month at the beginning of your billing cycle and bonuses for some interviews you win. We will send you a notification in Upwork (notification bell) and an email when you earn free Connects. For more information on how this works, check out our guide here.

 

To purchase Connects, go to Settings > Membership & Connects and click on the green 'Add More Connects' button. From there, select the amount to buy and click on the 'Buy Connects' button. Please note, that if you have sufficient funds on your Upwork balance, the charge will be applied to your Upwork balance. You can check out this help article to learn about the available Billing Methods.

Maybe you have adblocker and blocked confirmation button.

I am absolutely positive there was no such 'Get your free Connects' button that appeared after watching the video. I did watch the video several times so I am sure about this; if there was such a button on-screen, I would definitely have clicked on it.

 

I request that those 8 connects kindly be credited to my account so that we are done with this small matter.

Thanks for following up, Vikram. I checked and I was able to see the button on your account. Could you please try clearing your cache and cookies or logging in with a different browser and watching the video just one more time? If you still don't see the button please share a screenshot of what you do see on your end so we can investigate further.

same happened with me i watched the video, there was a button i clicked it many times but it was gray(not green) and then another video started. If there is any way i can get those connects? Thanks

Truly, the Upwork team creates quite many ways for Freelancers to have free Connects. Thank you so much, thank you so much Upwork Team. 

I wish the Upwork team would create many ideas, and methods like encouragement to study Academy, pass one Test.... to give free Connects.

Hello Upwork, I just applied for a job with 15 connects, and the client deleted the job post. What happens to my Connects? It should be returned. I want to know what is happening on the platform. After using our hard earned money to buy connects, some dubious clients are trying to make freelancers waste their connects. Upwork please will my connects be returned to me???

Think these are supposed to be a way to 'bribe' potential clients to choose you, but you never get them back. It's a way for Upwork to make money from both freelancers and the clients.

I am sorry to learn that the client deleted the job post. I checked, and I see here that 15 Connects were refunded for a canceled job. Here is a screenshot for your reference. To check on your Connects history, may visit this page.

I wanted to reach out regarding an issue I've been experiencing with my new Upwork account. I created my account approximately three months ago, but I haven't received any connects so far.

I have been actively checking my account settings and ensuring that all the necessary information is complete. However, I haven't been granted any monthly connects or noticed any changes in my account's status.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone could provide some guidance or share their experiences if they have encountered a similar situation. Is there anything specific I should be aware of or any steps I need to take to ensure the proper allocation of connects to my account?

I posted a bid on a project and its been 2 weeks and no views, hires, no messages or updates from this client project. I wasted connects, how can I recover my connects please.

 

please upwotk can you cancel or close this project so I can recover my connects?

I'm a little concerned because I applied to so many jobs! The client has stopped hiring, not even responding to me or anybody else, and has simply gone offline. Some have been inactive for weeks, while others have been for months.

I'm not sure what to do in this scenario, as my connections are stalled or bound to these inactive or offline clients and they're not even responding to me or anyone else.

You'll use Connects to let clients know when you're interested in working with them and to market your services. To submit proposals, you will need Connects credit. The cost to submit a proposal may require a different number of Connects depending on the project or engagement.  It is best to review each posting to find a great opportunity that aligns with your interests and experience. Hello,
I received a email notice from Upwork on June 27th 2024, that a job that I submitted a proposal for was removed by Upwork due to a violation of their Terms of Service. It also said that any Connects that I spent to submit the proposal (including extra Connects if I boosted it) will automatically be returned to my account within a few days and that my Job Success Score won’t be impacted, either. I checked my connects history and do not see the “returned Connects.” I have already contacted support through “Chat”. I thought that a support ticket was created but I have not heard back. I have also reviewed this link: https://support.upwork.com/hc/en-us/articles/211062898- Understanding-and-using-Connects. The original job posting and proposal date is below.
How can I resolve this?

I checked your account and can confirm that the Connects for the canceled job were already returned on June 26th. You can refer to the Connect History page to verify the same.
