Connects

I submitted two proposals, but just as I clicked 'submit proposal,' I found myself outside of the top four bidding positions. However, I still haven't received my boosted connects back.

Hi all,

 

As a freelancer or agency, you'll use Connects to Submit Proposals and let clients know you're interested in their project. You receive ten free Connects every month at the beginning of your billing cycle and bonuses for some interviews you win. We will send you a notification in Upwork (notification bell) and an email when you earn free Connects. For more information on how this works, check out our guide here.

 

To purchase Connects, go to Settings > Membership & Connects and click on the green 'Add More Connects' button. From there, select the amount to buy and click on the 'Buy Connects' button. Please note, that if you have sufficient funds on your Upwork balance, the charge will be applied to your Upwork balance. You can check out this help article to learn about the available Billing Methods.

I hope you are doing well, Need guidance from you; hopefuly you will guide better. The point is that; as per Upwork policy every "Rising Talent Badge" achiver get 30 free connects after achive talent badge! I achived this badge 2 days earlier.This is great honour for me from Upwork team. But i didnt receive free 30 connects yet? kindly guide me and i request you give some tips that; how can boost my profile? i am trying my best at this time, but in vain.

Hello,

I tried alot i can't buy connects. I am from Pakistan i am using debit card and just started on Upwork.

whenever i am trying to buy connects error shows: Your payment could not be processed. Please choose an alternate payment method or retry again later.

Call bank's customer service and ask them to activate international transactions. bank in our country usually disable international transactions by default.

Hi Sharina,

You will receive your 50 free connects immediately after you buy connects for the first time. Most newly registered freelancers don't know this. However, at the moment, this is how it works; buy your first connects and 50 free connects will be added for you.

I have placed connects for boosted bids, but the client has not even viewed my proposal. Can I withdraw my proposal and take the contents back?

Hi Ioannis,

 

Thank you for your message. Your Connects are not refunded if you withdraw your proposal from a project, the client hires another freelancer or lets the job expire without hiring. You can learn more about Connects here.

I am regularly active in upwork for 2 months but I am not getting any order in my project. I have sent many proposals, I have written a beautiful cover letter, but no one has given me a job yet. We also have family, they have needs. How to meet their needs if they do not get work. I have no money now. Someone please help me to get a job.

Wow, Upwork is really spoiling us with 10 free connects a month! That’s just enough to apply for, what, half a job? Especially when you need to cough up 20+ connects just to bid on a project worth a whopping $20-$30. Truly generous!

Hi Noelia,

 

Upwork currently requires new freelancers to do one of two things before being able to submit a proposal for a job: subscribe to our Freelancer Plus membership plan for $19.99 USD a month, or purchase Connects. After you fulfill this requirement you will also receive 50 free Connects to further help you get started on Upwork. You can check this helpful article to learn more about using Connects.

Receiving only 10 connects each month isn’t much support. I think it should be reconsidered, as it's not enough to send a proposals. My opinion upwrok stop sending ten connects every month.

Hi,
Today I have faced a problem about connects: I sent a proposal 6 days ago and did not hire anyone by a client. But boost 68 connects deducted from my account. I did not receive the connect back. Why, please?

i have applied for 7 jobs and since it is 3 weeks neither the work comes nor connects? when connect come back??

I've noticed that for a long time, my proposals are being viewed, but the connects aren't being returned. Yesterday, I applied for a project using 18 connects, I purchased connects for $3; they weren't free connects. The client viewed it and even responded to me, but I still haven't received the connects back. Why is that?
