Connects

I submitted two proposals, but just as I clicked 'submit proposal,' I found myself outside of the top four bidding positions. However, I still haven't received my boosted connects back.

Hi all,

 

As a freelancer or agency, you'll use Connects to Submit Proposals and let clients know you're interested in their project. You receive ten free Connects every month at the beginning of your billing cycle and bonuses for some interviews you win. We will send you a notification in Upwork (notification bell) and an email when you earn free Connects. For more information on how this works, check out our guide here.

 

To purchase Connects, go to Settings > Membership & Connects and click on the green 'Add More Connects' button. From there, select the amount to buy and click on the 'Buy Connects' button. Please note, that if you have sufficient funds on your Upwork balance, the charge will be applied to your Upwork balance. You can check out this help article to learn about the available Billing Methods.

Hello Upwork, 

I noticed that three of the jobs I applied for last month was removed without hiring any freelancer. Only one out of the three jobs connect was refunded, am yet to receive the refund of the remaining two jobs connect. Please kindly look into it. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing your concern. Upon checking, I see that Connects were returned to your account. You can view this in your account's Connects History. Let us know if you need further assistance.

Hi Upwork Support Team,

 

I’m writing to address two issues with my account. First, I noticed that while using the "Available Now" badge, Upwork has been deducting 2 connects per day from my balance, but I understand the correct amount should be 1 connect per 24 hours. Could you please verify if this is an error?

 

Additionally, my subscription was renewed today, and although the payment went through, I have not yet received the 100 connects associated with the renewal. Could you assist in resolving this as well?

Hello Altin,

 

Thank you for your message.  I'd like to clarify that the weekly price of the badge may fluctuate. If the badge is priced at 14 Connects, 2 Connects will be taken from your balance every 24 hours until it reaches 14 Connects for the week. You have the power to decide how many Connects you want to use by setting a maximum amount for the week. For more details, feel free to check out this helpful page!

 

I also checked your account, and it seems that your last Connects purchase was on October 8, 2024. You can view your Transaction History on this page. Could you please check with your bank to see if the charges are showing up in their system? If they are, please let us know so we can have our dedicated team look into it further.

Hey, I have proposed for a project and it got approved and after 2 minutes the client was suspended. so i didn't get my conncts back. You punching me not tha spammer then......

The job has been removed after got accepted and then Upwork suspended the client. But that was proposal's link

I want to pay for connects with a credit card, but the only option says that it will take the money from my account since there is a balance. I do not want that - I want to pay with the card.

Mykola is correct. We’ll first use any existing earnings balance on your Upwork account. But, if you don’t have enough of a balance to cover the entire cost, we’ll charge the billing method you have on file with us for the entire amount due. If you haven’t set up a billing method yet, you’ll need to add one. Learn more about billing methods.

No, it's not that simple. I don't want to do that, I want to pay by card. I should have the option to pay how I want to. Simple as that.

I recently signed up as a new freelancer on Upwork and I am eager to start applying for jobs. However, I have noticed that I have not yet received the initial 50 connects that are typically provided to new freelancers to help them get started on the platform.

Could you please assist me in understanding why I have not received these connects? Is there an additional step I need to complete or a requirement I might have overlooked?
