Contact Upwork disabled currently

Hi, contact Upwork is currently disabled, I'd like to know why my connects have not been returned after a job I applied to expired but I can't ask them about this because their 'contact us' button is currently inactive. Great, what a super user friendly website this is turning out to be. Charge you for applying for work that doesn't exist and doesn't offer to answer enquiries. Is the button always disabled or just currently. Thanks.

You don't need to contact Support.

Connects are not returned when a job post expires.

They never have been. So that's all working as Upwork designed it to work.

I have seen post from Upwork Moderators where they have returned connects for jobs that have been both closed and expired, infact, you yourself have commented on them. Where is your Upwork source for this terms and condition please because if they're taking your money they have to supply terms and conditions by law..

I'm sorry, but taking a users word for it is not my style, evidence please. Thanks.

Confirming information freely offered yourself clearly isn't, either. (took 43 seconds)

You may read all about it to your heart's content here.

In case that's still too much effort, I've pasted the relevant part for you below. You're very welcome.

Returned Connects

Connects may be returned under the following circumstances:

  • If a project is canceled by the client without making a hire, the Connects used on that proposal will be returned to you for reuse. This does not apply to expired job posts.
  • If a job post has been removed by Upwork for a Terms of Service violation, the Connects used on that proposal will be returned for you to reuse

Note: Withdrawing your proposal will not return your Connects.

That page returns this and no information, sadly, but thanks for trying.

The link returns this. Image. Thanks again though.

Try a different browser and I had copied the relevant part, and Christine has screenshotted it for you in your other thread, so I do hope that this is now enough confirmation for you, even though it merely came from lowly "users" as you so incredibly rudely "charmingly" put it.

No, she shouldn't take our word for it - she can go bid on some more projects, and when she doesn't get most of her connects back, maybe that will be enough evidence.

I tried the links Petra posted, and they worked. Maybe if you try a different browser you will be able to access them. Good luck.
