I was recently told by upWork to directly contact a client with whom they had a problem processing a payment. When I went to my thread with the client, it said "so-and-so does not currently have access to upWork and will not receive messages until access is restored." I asked upWork Customer Support to contact the client for me becasue the client does not seem to be able to read my messages even if I send them now. Their response was that they had already contacted the client but no response and I should contact directly to resolve the payment issue. This is a Catch-22... how can I contact the client who does not have access to upWork? The customer support agent did not answer my question on how I can contact a client whose access was restricted by upWork - and my support ticket was closed prematuraly. Now I don't know what to do. Have you experienced something like this before? If you have, how did you resolve it?

You cannot. Client must recover own account to pay you. If want to pay you. Possible you will never receive this payment.
Take other job, keep working.

I sort of figured that would be the case... but wanted to know if other freelancers have experienced it and succeeded in asking upWork Customer Support to resolve. Thank you for your reply.
